TIERRAS

I felt lost.
I had arrived on those islands carrying questions that did not want to be solved, floating in my mind like seagulls resting on the surface of the sea.

A summer sun in the middle of January left me dizzy and blinded. I was in a muffled place, swept by a wind that carried every sound away into the distance, making me feel detached from everything and everyone.

The only presence I felt close was the Moon. From above, it watched me fall asleep and greeted me each morning, keeping guard as I stepped into the icy sea water at dawn.
The touch of the water wrapped around me like soft velvet; its embrace was an unexpected comfort, dissolving my thoughts into warm tears.

That is how it began.

I tried to question nature with my doubts, but the more I searched for answers, the more I found a powerful calm waiting for me.
Every place seemed to tell me that there was nothing to resolve in that moment, that none of my problems were as urgent as being there and listening to my breath in the surrounding silence.

The strength of the Earth overshadowed the vulnerability of my gaze, forcing me to slow down, to step away from that restless pursuit that characterizes a contemporary tendency in the way we perceive the world.

So I stopped looking outward and began to recognize my own presence, immersed in a Nature that, on those islands, continues to exist untamed, far removed from human speed.
My breathing aligned with the winds bending the junipers and shaking the palms; my pupils adapted to the darkness of the forests and to the blinding rays of the sun on the sea, revealing a beauty that felt deeply familiar, yet one I had never truly seen before.

The images of TIERRAS offer an invitation to observe what lies before us and to acknowledge a bond that might otherwise slip away.
Landscapes that often become mere backdrops for photographs and postcards are, here, Subjects: representations of a Mother Earth that wisely whispers how important it is to stop and listen to our breath in order to understand where we stand.
An invitation to renegotiate our presence within the landscape, to rebuild a dialogue where today only distance is perceived.

The images of TIERRAS offer an invitation to observe what lies before us and to acknowledge a band that might otherwise slip away.

These landscapes, so often reduced to simple backdrops or postcards, emerge here as Subjects: expressions of a wise Mother Earth reminding us of the quiet power of pausing, listening, and understanding where we stand.

An invitation to renegotiate our presence within the landscape, and to rebuild a dialogue in places where we have learned to sense only distance.

TIERRAS photographs can be purchased as fine art prints.
